The Mindspace PR team believes that most marketing efforts can be amplified with PR. The best way to make that happen is for our PR, strategy, design and new media teams to stay ridiculously integrated. That means we sit, eat, think, eat, nap, eat and talk about dieting together. It's weird, but it works. It means when someone discovers a big idea, we all work together to spread it—so you get more bang for each buck
We know how to find the story. Trust us, it's there—buried behind the noise of new technologies and techniques. Sometimes it's in hiding, but when you find it, people feel compelled to write about it, listen to it and tell their friends. This story takes on a life of its own, with your company at its core. Many PR pros can cobble together a decent press release or social media strategy, but the heavy lifting comes in finding the story that matters.
That's why in addition to agency types, we hire people who have worked in the media who understand where the best stories come from, and people who worked as clients who understand how to help you hit your objectives.
How do you get your new product or service noticed? By creating a story people care about.
Mindspace Public Relations was tasked with publicizing Ethisphere magazine, which launched its first issue in December 2006. The publicity efforts focused heavily on targeting corporate social responsibility leaders. Mindspace utilized wire services that generated coverage in blogs and other online sites while simultaneously increasing search engine rankings. Additionally, the team used traditional media relations efforts to secure coverage in CNBC, ABC, American Public Media's Marketplace, an in-depth interview with Dow Jones and an ongoing relationship with Forbes.
When Mindspace Public Relations manages a merger or acquisition, spokespeople are prepared, stakeholders are well-informed, day-of announcements are delivered on time and media follow-ups are thorough. It's a stressful time. Communications should run without a hitch.
Mindspace Public Relations has put out brush fires, forest fires and everything in between. We can jump at a moment's notice and put out the fire before it spreads.
Crisis communications were a major part of the team's activities for LifeLock, the nation's leader in identity theft protection. Lawsuits were filed against the company and LifeLock's CEO Todd Davis had his social security number compromised. In each instance, Mindspace played an integral role in messaging, satellite interviews and op-ed pieces resulting in national coverage.

Solstice, the ultra-luxury leader in the destination club market, was ranked "Best of the Best 2007" in the June issue of Robb Report. This recognition marked the second time in three years that Solstice had been honored by the leading luxury lifestyle publication. Solstice commissioned Mindspace to reaffirm its status to current members, board members, business partners, investors and internal staff, while also publicizing the ranking to potential members and industry analysts. Mindspace created a comprehensive communications plan that included delivery of executive celebratory gifts to the Board and existing clients, internal announcements and talking points for employees, information for key suppliers and media preparation sessions for spokespeople.

Mindspace undertook a major government relations campaign on behalf of the Education Management Corporation and its Tucson-based schools, The Art Institute and Brown Mackie College. The main objective was to place the schools in front of the most influential government leaders in the immediate area in order to further the schools' visibility. Mindspace prepared agendas and talking points, set up each meeting, facilitated the meetings and provided follow-up information and support. The schools' presidents had meetings with a number of mayors, other state and city government leaders and regional economic and business groups.

The Mindspace team developed monthly member newsletters to feature the ultra-luxury destination club's news, property features and member experiences. The team created editorial themes for each newsletter, interviewed employees to feature each month and compiled updates from different departments. In addition to the monthly newsletter, the team developed email alerts and other marketing communications materials to ensure that Solstice members were kept abreast of the company's latest news.
